I recently visited this restaurant and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, with an excellent price-quality ratio. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff,. The fact that the kitchen was open gave us the opportunity to see how all the food was prepared, which was a nice addition to the overall experience. When settling the bill, I inquired about the pink pastries on the counter, and to my surprise, we were given a few complimentary donuts to try. This gesture was truly thoughtful and made our visit even more special. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

A unique cafe and restaurant
The service staff is wonderful and welcoming to customers, has a beautiful smile and a wonderful atmosphere.
The food is very good, with salty and sweet pancakes, all of which are special
With coffee and eggs.
The prices are also good, and I recommend it to those who like a late breakfast.

very pleasant place for breakfast, a wide range of tastes, absolutely nice and helpful staff. what takes 1 star is the worse ventilation of the space, we left smelling of the kitchen.

Really excellent.
Excellent cappuccino and croissants and really friendly and helpful staff.
Recommended for those who want to have an "Italian" breakfast with a good coffee/cappuccino.

Loveliest brunch place we’ve been to in Budapest! Staff was so friendly and very nice. We had the salmon pancakes and the bacon and eggs, and the portions were very big. Best bacon I’ve ever tasted. The coffee is good and the tea is really good also, they have lots of different kinds. Very nicely decorated and just a nice, cozy place.

Absolute joy of a brunch. We stumbled across this place and changed our plans to pop in.

All the staff gave us a warm welcome, we knew it was a good decision!

The food was exceptional. We ordered the big boy breakfast and pancakes. I am always a bit hesitant ordering an “english style” breakfast but this was exceptional. Bacon soft yet crispy. Punchy mustard in its own pot for those who don’t like it. Each bite from the plate was delicious.

The pancakes with fruit are perfect. So good you want to eat more.

As we left, the chef came over to chat with us. Really good vibes.

Tldr: Come here for brunch in Budapest!

Grumpy is a very nice place. They have a few tables for eating inside where we had breakfast two times.

The vegetarian tomato-mozarella panini with salad was excellent. Also the pesto fried eggs is very good.

i had high expectations due to the great reviews here but it was honestly disappointing! coffee is alright but the food is lacking in portion & quality… maybe we chose the wrong dishes, but those were mostly basic ingredients. okay service & cozy interior, wouldn‘t come again though.
